How to create an offline music visualizer on Windows

REVA is a desktop audio visualizer for Windows 10 and 11. It analyzes your track and renders animation on your computer, so you do not need to upload your music to a cloud rendering service.
1. Install REVA and load your audio
Download the Windows installer, install REVA and open it from the Start menu. Python and FFmpeg are included. Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is required. The app starts in Free mode; no account or payment is needed to begin.
Load the track you want to visualize. Use music or recordings that you have permission to use. The finished overlay follows this audio even if you use Demo mode while adjusting the preview.
2. Choose the look and the canvas
Start with a Free style, then adjust color, gradient, glow and size. Match the canvas to your project: landscape, portrait or square. Preview over your artwork to check that the animation leaves space for titles and other elements.
Start with the default reaction settings and change one setting at a time. A useful visualizer follows the music without covering the artwork or making text hard to read.
3. Render a short sample first
Choose a transparent export format and render a short test track before a full-length project. Check the result in your editor. Higher quality, more layers and larger overlays take more time and memory; rendering speed depends on your computer and settings.
4. Combine the overlay with your original track
The export contains the visualizer, without an audio track or the artwork used in the preview. Place it above your artwork in a video editor and add the original audio separately, with both starting at the same point.
Follow our transparent export guide for format and placement details.
What can you make with Free?
Free exports have no watermark and can be used commercially with material you have the rights to use. Free includes core visualizer families and up to 30 FPS. Pro adds more families, advanced gradients, glow and higher quality options. Compare the current plans before choosing a paid feature.
What does offline rendering mean?
Audio analysis and final rendering run locally. You still need internet access to download the app and for purchases and Pro license operations. Offline rendering does not imply unlimited offline access to a monthly Pro license.
